Available for most any make machine, EMI linear edge mixers are a direct replacement for your existing nozzle. The mixers have multiple flutes over which materials must pass, blending materials together three times on their way to the discharge flutes. A .020" clearance above the barrier minimizes pressure drop and traps foreign particles larger than .020", protecting sub- gates and hot runner tips. The mixer has standard, 1 / " O.D. nozzle body dimensions, uses standard nozzle tips and heater bands and the nozzle tip is easily removed for cleaning.
